at my dads shop we have landed a 2.3 motor that is knocking. The owner before didn't know what they were doing i guess because it has a brand new gm stock head on it (still shiny and all) but i guess they thought that would fix the knocking which it didn't.

I have the cam housings and intake mani sitting here wondering if anyone could have uses since it's a LO motor? The vin is D so i guess im SOL, came out of a 95 auto GA.

Any round about pricing for these parts include to please.

do you just have the cam housings and intake or do you have the whole engine?? if the cams are still in the housings then the intake you have is half of the secret cam swap for 2.4 guys..and that intake manifold is just as good as the HO manifold for 2.4s as well so i wouldnt get rid of any of those parts..unless you want to give them to me as a token of thanks

i have the whole motor, today i took off the timing assem and have the LO mani sitting here and the cams in the housings sitting here.

save the head and cam towers. intake if you choose, the exhaust mani sucks.
is the head a casting? there is also an aftermarket head(GM quit making 2.3 heads years ago) where they copy the GM 456 casting.
the difference is they machine the water outlet for a T-stat on the head, and open up the exhaust ports where the mani bolts on.
