my friend has a 1999 cavalier with the 2.4 engine. he has a wire in front of the radiator to the left that has a plug which has BROKEN off of something.
the dealership doesnt know where it plug/attaches to and nobody at auto parts stores knows what part the little plug is? heres pics help please!
well thats not the ld9 (2.4l) motor as stated, but it looks as if it has a plug in the middle that goes to the radiator. Check it out and take some more closer pics that arent so hazy so we have a better idea......
hondas are like tampons.....every pu$$y needs one...
mildly built 99' ln2, eagle h-beam rods, wiseco forged alum. pistons, cusco oil catch, t3/t4 super 60 garret, tial 40 mm wastegate, hp tuners, prothane mount inserts, 2.5" exhaust.
can't help you with the connector but isn't that a 2.2 OHV in the pics?
just thought of something... i remembr reading something about a ground block or something that was in some models. could it be that?

how positive are you?? am guessing it has to do with cooling? his car tends to overheat now...
how would you suggest fixing this and where exactly does it PLUG in to??
Thanks!!
That plugs directly into the compressor, it is the ONLY other connector on the harness with the alt that swings down in that direction. It is indeed in charge of operating the cluth on the A/C compressor.....which you will need to replace the WHOLE compressor....perhaps maybe just the clutch.
That is DEF. the 2200, not the 2.4.
if you dont have a manual....go to the dealer and have the parts dept. bring up a schematic of the sensors in the engine bay and figure it out from there
