I dont think im posting this in the right forum but i know people with anwser in here. I know intake won't add much if any hp to a 2200 but what about fuel ecomony how much will it help in that category and what is better for economy wai or cai?
Actually, both will give you better fuel economy to some degree if you stay out of the pedal.
With the 2200 engine, it really won't matter if you get a cai or wai.
But if you want a slightly cooler charge to your intake air, the cai is the way to go.
It'll cost you more but to some, it's worth the extra dollars to have a cai.
I prefer the cai while some do like the wai. The arguments will always continue on which is better but do your thing with the 2200 and enjoy what you do with it.
Good luck.

Yes i have read the offical intake thread and no it didn't anwser my ? about economy though now does it?
your economy gains will be as negligible as your hp/tq/throttle response/flux capacitance/any other attribute you could possibly want to ask about. think of it this way. try breathing through a garden hose. not too hard right? well, imagine you're a big block. that @!#$'s restrictive as hell. now imagine a house cat trying to breathe through the same hose. it has no problems, as it has much smaller lungs. now, change the garden hose to a piece of pcv pipe. BIIIIIIG pipe. like 6". yea, you wont even know the pipes there when you're breathing. but the cat (small cube engine) wasn't having trouble breathing through the garden hose.
moral of the story: without ANYTHING else being changed, a shiny new intake wont make a damn bit of difference to an engine so small.

That's a terrible analogy of what we're trying to convey here.
An engine is nothing more than an air pump.
Lessen the restriction of the incoming air (intake) and your engine will work less. Lessen the restriction of the outgoing air (exhaust) and you have an even more efficient running air pump.
Higher efficiency equals less gas used which in turn means better economy.
I think that should be self explanatory from here.
