So i've had my 1999 cav z24 2.4L DOHC for about 6 months, havent done much except a CAI but looking to add some boost. i plan to eventually put in full suspension as well as exhaust but want to add some boost to make it a bit of a sleeper. CAI added some nice throttle response but not really any power. lookin to boost to about low 200's (not a racer just lookin for a lil power) but not sure what to add to do so. supercharger? turbo? chip even? trying to stay away from turbo as the boost im lookin for is easily done with a supercharger and turbos cost a lot. any suggestions for adding power would be great. also was wondering if the new turbos coming on the new 2.4l turbo neons or calibers would fit a cav at all.
GM made a supercharger kit for your engine. its a nice small upgrade with plenty of potential to reach the goals you have said.
the kit can be had brand new for around $1400 nowadays and even cheaper here on the classifieds as it seems like there's a new kit on there every week.
go ahead and read up on the sticky at the top of the boost forum page that has to do with pre-00 supercharger usage. it will explain what is entirely needed to get the kit to work on your car.

Wanting a nice set of black 17's with mint tires? Pm me.
A supercharger would be probably the easiest and hassle free way to achieve the goals your looking for. Also there is no such thing as a chip for cavaliers. But the GM SC kit and then follow the stick for pre 00 cavaliers and your good to roll.
~Boost. Its what's for dinner!~
