i remember seeing a post several years ago on here about someone taking a specific spark plug socket size and drilling it out some to put into the hole onto the cat then put the 02 sensor in that to space it out to get the right amount of flow so it doesn't throw a code. Does anybody remember this or know the size of that spacer needed? i got one for my old cavalier at advanced auto and it's in a red package. I wanna say it's the Test package or something but i can't think of it. Any help?
O2 spacers have been used successfully in the VW community for a long time now, I'll look around and see if I can find one of the sites that sells them premade. I've also seen posts about wraping the tip of the sensor in tin foil, these reported good results but I've never tried it myself.
