I'm on a tight budget so I'm not looking for a full cat-back system or anything. Performance is secondary, I just want a little different sound than the stock system gives, something to take advantage of the potential a manual transmission for sound.
I was thinking something really deep. Yes, I do think that the majority of systems on four-bangers is really cheesy, I want to avoid that cheesy sound and want something deep...I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions?
I was looking at the G-SPEC Fireball muffler and have heard it, and like the sound of it, but I can't find anywhere online that sells it, so I'm still completely open to suggestions...
Anyone with experience or who has heard muffles on this car (or a car with the same engine)?? Suggestions?? comments??

I hope you're joking....that sounds awful. Like everyone said before, get a chambered muffler with the biggest resonator you can fit under there. Have you looked at the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler?
the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard was a megan muffled (straight through) with a magnaflow resonator. Period.. Chambered high flow mufflers sound like crap imo on a 4cyl

I installed one similar to this on my 2003 cavalier and the sound is amazing you would no believe that its a 4cyl under the hood. My girl tells me that she can here me comming to pick her up all the way on the third floor of her building. Trust me its crazzy when I pass other drivers its nothing but head turners feels good. You don't need anything to fancy and when you replace the muffler try to get one that is similar to this shape and if there is nothing inside to muffle the sound even better. It's like putting a sub in a box to get the real effect.
