yes I know it is cheap.... yes I know an "intake is an intake". I am curious if anyone had fitment problems? Is the filter any good? Does it look possible to replace the filter with a k&n?

Mostly looking to make the motor sound a bit cooler when I step on it... I am not concerned about +1hp to be gained.

I just wish I could find a used intake to buy for my ecotec....

Looks like only the filter is different.

Yeah, I was going to say that as well. It looks like a stock intake with a cone filter. Cosmo Racing seems to have intakes pretty cheap, but if you have an 02 Ecotec instead of an 03+, then you'll run into some hood closing issues. I just checked your profile, and if your car is indeed an 03, than you should be fine.

As a note, I'd suggest you support JBO companies, but they might be a little more expensive, and it is ultimately your choice, but they put a lot of effort into keeping aftermarket support for our platform alive. Whatever you do though, don't get that one.

any aluminum tubing with a filter at the end is gonna work.

buy an intake for a z24, just use common sense when picking one out. Make sure the iat hole is large enough and your fine.
