Removing the power steering lines with a crows foot
Monday, March 24, 2008 5:54 PM
has anyone taken off the high side line, that can shed some light as to the ease of this with a crows foot. we tried just getting a sawed off 18 in there but it didnt fly. so Im going to try a crows foot, if it doesn't work out im going to have to lower or even drop the subframe (dont want to go there if I dont have to)

any tips from you guys, and did you go from the top or the bottom.

yes go ahead and use that crows foot but only if you want to break the fitting on the power steering

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE, i have already died once and im still here so lets just leave it on the track

I use a crow's foot for racks all the time. Combined with swivels or "floppy" extensions they work great. But make sure you use the "flare nut" style which grabs 5 sides of the nut, and make sure you use a good quality part that won't spread or bend.

yeah so I only have access to a regular style crows foot, with half the paws. and even if I could get it, I cant slide over the top beucase the line is bigger where its crimped and wont lide over.

Im going to try the regular one, but if it gets hectic were just going to drop the sub frame.

its done everythings back together and running great consider this post a window into my build that Im not telling anyone else about, but My car looks like it might acutally be done. we finished it last night, but I didnt like the cheap exhaust so I bit the bullet and took a positive step backwards. now all I have left is to fix the exhuast and its done.
