Hey guys i just got done with all my body work and i am wondering how to get started on a turbo kit. I want something good but not to crazy mostly to get good decent HP but not to crazy,What do u guys reccomend me buying or how to get started? Right now it is stock 2.4 1997 cavi with an automatic tranny or auto tranny is not the way to go? Let me know anything that would help.
i guess i don't really understand the question... how to get started? i guess save money and buy a turbo, bov, wastegate, intercooler, turbo manifold, charge piping, oil lines, wideband, etc., etc., etc.

87 Firebird
All stock...........lol.
well if you are on a small budget the best way is to start buying up the smaller, less expensive items, then save up and work your way up to the larger, more expensive items. or you can simply be on the hunt in the classifieds looking for turbo kit's people have already put together, sometimes hey go for pretty cheap and if you don't mind using something someone else put together or used parts and have the cash in hand id say go for it.
but...one of the more difficult parts to find is a turbo manifold, would be a good idea to get one NOW as the company's willing to make them or that HAVE made them in the past are dis-appearing. search out vulcan turbo....

Riddle me this... riddle me that...

if your going for something small get the garret gt60 turbo. no just kidding but like the others posted do some reasearch for turbos you dont want to get the wrong stuff. byt going turbo is not cheap in no way. if your gonna do it do it right dont go cheap.
Look around ebay for a small garrett t3, a log style header, charge piping, and an intercooler.
