Cons: RSM.

They're not so good to deal with, not to mention RSM no longer exists as they are now ZSpec.

It would also help if you filled out your registry or posted what engine you need parts for. If its the 2.2 ohv then do it yourself, or have someone with the tools do it. It's one of the easier pieces to port. If its for the 2.4 or Ecotec then its a crock of @!#$ because you can't really port the plastic at all. Maybe shave off a lip here or there.

Porting the stock intake manifold is a waste of time. Awesome car, btw.

kurt- huh?? why cant you port plastic?

depends on what year 2.4 you have, if you have a 2000-2002, just swap an older 96-99 on and you might see gains. the 00-02's have a slight lip on the inside right at the TB flange that the older ones DO NOT have. ive always wondered why GM did this...possibly to maintain the 150hp rating as the newer engines have some better parts and improvements here and there....

Riddle me this... riddle me that...

It's only worth it if you have the throttle body to match.

I have heard of many who claim they could dremel it out to match, but most hack it up.

Because its so thin there really isn't anything to port. Real porting would be increasing the port size on the flange, and there really isn't anything to work with there. Like I said, the most you can do is shave a lip off.
