Shift Light no tach ?
Tuesday, May 06, 2008 7:56 PM
Im trying to think and figure out if there is a way to have the auto meter shift light wired up to the stock in dash tach, i dont want this huge tach when i already have one and i know that theres an economy shift light in the dash that tells u when to shift to save for the best gas millage so there must be a way to wire the shift light from the autometer tach to go off at redline? without Autometer module and Autometer pill kit.

yea its the orange and white im pretty sure but its just a normal shift light off the 140$ auto meter tach so logically the light wont no when to go off because its supposed to be hooked up to the tach were u can preset it, and im trying to just wire that shift light in somewhere but where is the question.

i dont know ill try to wire the light to the white and orange and see wut happens i doubt it will work, because its like running a tach will no tach signal theres no signal to tell the light when to go off unless those wires possibly give a red line code i dk i guess trial and error will tell ill let you guys know

honestly, the pill kit would be the easiest way.
