any one else have their computer crap out on them and have their car drive like you dont know how to drive a standard? aka jolting and lurching even when you keep your foot at a constant position on the gas? This is the second computer in the last 3-4 years that has died on me and i don't know why? GM replaced my last one and its all under warranty which is fine as its one of thoughs things that has some ridiculously long warranty but i would rather it not happen ever..

That happened once in my latest ride (A '99 'Noma Double-deuce/Auto), but that was only for a few miles & after I just got out of the highway's rush-hour crawl. Of course, I should mention that for quite a while before that the transmission's fluid was black & a code related to it was thrown. Along with how it wouldn't hold over-drive for long periods & twice on the I-88 in the snarl I smelled ATF starting to burn. So I guess that would have been more of a trans-related result I experienced, huh?
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
How do you know it si the ECU? This time at least?

I am not 100% sure this time.. I am going to throw on one of the other TPS sensors to see if thats all it is, but its doing the exact same thing as when the computer crapped out on me..
And when i had my TPS sensor crap out on me it was from the alky injection spraying before the TB... this TPS was put in after i put the TB spacer in and have it spraying from there... only thing i can think of is that i am getting HUGE!! amounts of oil coming threw my charge pipes and that could have screwed it up (new engine going in this week end though)

i have had to have my pcm replace twice on my 01 gm had a recall on them up untill 99 and yedd they actlike a bag o @!#$e when the go... no idl control high revving for no reason and more
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE, i have already died once and im still here so lets just leave it on the track
I've been through 2 or 3 pcm's actually. in the span of 1 year.
Do you think it might be all the flashing on the computer with HPtuners???
I don't think so because one of them was fine before the motor swap and after I did the swap, the injector grounds in the pcm went.

I am thinking that is what could be wrong with mine to.. As my tuner said he tryed every thing he could (back when the engine was in very good condition) to try and stop the stalling and RPM hunting/ reving up high but he couldnt stop it. What is there to fix this? or is it just i have to pay GM to look at the computer and tell me exactly what i know since they told me they have to have the car there to check the computer?
