I managed to pick up a 2000 sunfire for free and would like to swap the engine. What engines are availible to swap for this yr of sunfire? Anything ecotec availible?

you can swap in anything you want. another 2.4, 2.2 eco, 3800 V6 supercharged, list goes on.

I was looking at the 2.2L ecotec in the redline.
Where are the best places I start looking?
Basically what needs to be fully replaced and engine mount placement

do some search man...there is a very good how to in the third gen forum plus countless posts in here on what is needed..
no one has done the LSJ swap into a cav yet. and no one ever will probaly. you can swap in the 2.2 eco from a Jbody, slap a turbo on and get more out of it
