Well I just got done building my LN2 a few months back and I have enjoyed it much. Now with my engine swap coming up I was hoping to part out pieces of my motor. The cam I put in, was done while my head was off. Now my question to you guys is, is it possible to remove the cam without taking the head off? I notice a bar on the head that goes right across the lifter keeper so I know that taking that out is going to be impossible without removing the head. I have thought also that if I remove the lifters and turn the engine over so all the lifters are now at their highest point I could slide the camshaft out. If I have to remove the head I will since I was wanting to sell my head from when I got the porting and polishing done as well as the valves etc.

nope, you have to pull the head, becasue even if you do turn the cam so all the lifters are at their highest point, you still have to contend with the bearing surfaces, which are bigger than the lift of the cam. so, essentially pull the pushrods and rockers-->remove head-->pull the lifters-->pull the cam.

agreed....no cheating allowed...
There was a cruicial step missed above....I corrected it below:
pull the pushrods and rockers-->remove head-->pull the lifters-->pull the cam
--> Send all to me
You want to buy my cam? I will sell it for cheap since i got a deal on it as well.

I'll look to get 100 + shipping. I got it for 175. I got the spec sheet as well its a regrind by comp cams.

It's already reground?! Sorry, Im looking for one to get reground. That is, if the specs I get from a non-regrindable cam, turn out like I think (hope!?).
BTW, I've got access to plenty of cams, I was messsing with John more than anything. Just forgot to put the "j/k" in the previous post.
Since were dicussing the cam, what are the specs on it and what was the planned application, just out of curiosity?

Well I already got the Crane re-grind....what are the specs though??
The purpose was to make this go as fast as I can in a 1/4. I never did get it to a track. She was quick with the 75 shot. I think I got a video of my 0-60 around on my laptop somewhere.
P.S. my nitrous is going for sale as well. All this to fund the motor swap

That looks radically different than i remember mine being....which is probably good since we are totally different applications....just share the same motor...I will have to dig my cam card out now and take a look....
that = about 500 lift. what kind of springs were you planing on running

.313*1.6 (rocker ratio) nets .5008" lift... that needs alot of spring.

313*1.6=500.8

I know you guys will think im retarded or what ever. But I ran on the stock valve train. I know you tech guru's are going to say different, but there is still NOTHING wrong with my valve train. I have ran it about 3k or better on my car and no marks or any signs of the valves weakened or stressed. I have checked them at least once a week since I have put the cam in. I am removing this cam for replace of my stock one. I am putting this motor to stock, sell it and buy an eco.
