do these increase performance? or are they for future proofing for like boost or Nitrous?

Rocker arms Im assuming. Going with a higher ratio rocker arm will increase valve lift(like a 1.65 over a 1.50). Increasing valve lift allows more air to flow into the cylinder, but will also put added stress on the valve spring because they are being compressed more. Also if roller tip or full roller rockers reduce friction in the valvetrain and allow for higher revs.
