i have a short ram intake for my sunfire and wondering if some one can give me some detailed instructions on how to install it..
Thanks.
any one? nice day out, like to get this done today
pull out stock piping. put intake on. its a pretty straight forward process. grab a screwdriver and get at it.
- remove IAT sensor from factory intake pipe
- unscrew top of stock air box where filter sits.
- remove stock intake pipe and top of air box.
- depending on your intake, you may need to remove the piece of plastic for the intake that sits on the motor and attaches the stock intake pipe to the throttle body. you only need to do this if your intake needs to go to the throttle body.
*may be optional*
- remove bottom half of intake box,may need to remove battery to do so.
- remove intake "bong" in the drivers side fender
*end of optional steps*
- attach new intake pipe to either the stock plastic piece that connects to the TB or connect directly to the TB with silicone coupler.
- place IAT sensor in new intake, should have a hole for this.
- attach filter
make sure everything is tight and have fun.

^^^thats basically it, it is a very straight forward install.....
You can try searching the member profiles, maybe someone has a pic of how it is installed.
thanks guys for the help!!
first mod doing yourself? everyones gotta start somewhere... hope it works out for you.. good luck n enjoy
from my experience, the battery removal was a necessity to remove the lower half of the air box and a lil muscle too....

Gotta agree, all the a-holes on this site just bring it down.
Caution: I have an odd sense of humor, so don't be offended by the things I say

MMMM, HIDs
Yeah, kinda sad that I expected a massive flame fest when I clicked this thread haha.
That happens sometimes, especially when you direct a thread that some thing may belong elsewhere. But eventually someone gets why you're asking (Or why you're asking this way) and helps. Those are the kind of people we need more of on the net. So remember, folks: Just because you're not face-to-face, it doesn't mean you can't be polite & respectful when talking with someone.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".

to remove the bong remove driver side front wheel, and remove the fender screws, and makes it really easy.
