ok if i have the wiseco 86.5mm pistons would i need a 87mm head gasket?
i was looking into the cometic gasket. and would it matter on thickness?
ecotec motor. planning on boosting about 15-18lbs
Yes you want the gasket that is bigger than your bore.
If you plan on boosting, I would get the thickest one you can,
I got a 0.07 for mine
ok so if i do that im guessing i cant just put it on like the stock head gasket can i?
is there more parts that i have to buy with it?
Actually the GM MLS gasket is a very popular option with the ecotec.
Usually there is some surface prep/surface texture work needed to keep the gaskets longevity, but that is about it.
