one of the best for the jbody
get ceramic coated

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
I agree with all the above.
Some people have problems getting the ball style flex joint to seal correctly, but other than that....it is top notch.
Do they offer only the 4:1 header?
I keep seeing 4:2:1 headers, but they keep saying they are for offroad or race application and are not legal for the street. Are they full of it?
2003 Sunfire with a 2 1/4 inch turbo muffler, 2 1/4 piping to a 2 1/2 inch resonator (bigger to make up for the baffling), a 2 1/4 inch catalytic converter, 2 1/4 inch down-pipe, a ported LSJ manifold, a drop in K&N filtercharger and sports a Bomber body kit with a VIS Invader hood.
im pretty sure the one I got is a 4-1 if not im going to be pissed. But im glad to hear its a good header. I was thinking about wraooing it what do you guys think?
do you need motor mounts when putting a header on a 2.4 ld9?? i remember hearing that from someone and was wondering if it was true?
yess you do for sure it will squeek like crazy if you don't i had it on my 2.4 before i put my mounts in wouldn't recommend it
JBO since July 30, 2001
you don't necessarily need motor mounts its just strongly recommended. due to motor movement the header will flex and make the exhaust system squeek. this can also be fixed by putting in a small section of flex pipe.
couple quick things:
the standard painted header has been known to burn off the paint and look like poo fairly quickly
no need to wrap it cause all it will do is jeopardize the integrity of the header
you have to weld the header to the stock exhaust just so you know
they are good i have one on my 2003 cav 2.2eco it made a pretty noticable difference in power and sound. the only one they make that i know of is the 4:1
before i put it on i had no low end and now i can run right with a cobalt ss 2.4 canned/non-supercharged
and he is so mad at me.
