Which engine would be easiest to swap?

I've been doing some research, and I was wondering. For my 1990 2.0L 5spd Bird... which engine would be easiest and the best bang for the buck?

I was looking at maybe trying to find a turbo 3.1L, from a 5th gen GTP, or maybe a twin cam 3.4L.... Or go all out and get any gen supercharged 3.8L.

the basic mod would just be the engine, I am not going to tune the crap out of it or anything. At most would be a standard I/H/E setup and that be it.

so, based on availability and ease of replacement, fabrication and so forth. Should I scratch the idea of a 3.8L and just stick with either the twin cam 3.4L or find the turbo'd 3.1L?

or another idea, how easy is it to make my current 2.0L into a turbo 2.0L and then what kind of hopes could I get from that? Is it not even worth the effort?

thanks for the answers guys, I want to make sure I do this right.

i dont think you will be able to find a turbo 3.1l because all of the GTP''s came with supercharged engines

The turboed 3.1s come in the Mclaren GPs. Good luck finding one, i was hunting for one the whole time i had my 89' GP.

I know where a 3.1 turbo is, wiring harness, tranny, subframe, turbo, axles etc..... A friend has it and might be willing to part with it. Turbo seems that it might need to be rebuilt.

so would going with the turbo 3.1L be easier than the twin cam 3.4L or should I just stick with the idea of a 3.4L since information is more readily available and seems to be in greater abundance.

also, would a twin cam 3.4L be better than a 3400, or is it virtually the same.
