Ive searched and searched but I couldn't find much info on this topic. Im about to install my lsj header. Its going to attach to the stock exhaust for now. Before I hear about how its not worth it unless I get full exhaust blah blah blah. My car goes in the shop in 5 weeks. I only have one day a week to work on my car. I have to have the header in before it goes in. I need this setup to work util then. I know I need some flex. Is there anything else i need to finish the job. I only have one car and Im a long distance from any parts store so I want to get it all in one trip. Any one who has done this and wants to help.... thanks a million. Pictures are welcome
Thanks for all the help guys. Now I remember why I stopped coming to this site. Got my info from the JBNW guys.
you waited less than 24 hours to bitch about not getting a response

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Yes i did... It only took ten minutes for a response on a site with a membership of less the a quater of what this site has. Besides my bitch got a response about my bitch... not the question I had. I was a part of this site over a year ago and the same thing was happening then. All the newbs get passed over or reamed for asking "stupid questions" for not searching the forums. I spent over 2 hours searching just this site and found nothing. I went to the ecotec power forum and did many google searches before posting here. You cant tell me that within the hours that this was posted that not a single person on this site couldnt atleast point me to someone who would know. There many other posts throughout the day. So my bitch as you call it.... finally got this topic recognized.... now maybe someone will give some hints or tips... or just waste there time talking @!#$ about me or to me or whatever. No skin off my back,,,, I got my question answered. So I sure this topic will be locked soon due to the fact that this is more of a rant then a performance question. To the guys with the know how that could have answered my question... Ill thank you for the help you could have given me.

Did you even read my question? I said that I was putting the lsj onto a stock exhaust. I need a temporary setup until I get my exhaust put on. i know I need a custom DP. None of those links you put up offered anything on parts needed. So I did look. For a temp setup I need a piece of flex and a reducer to hook the header to the stock exhaust. So before you think you owned me you should make sure your info is right.
people go to a exhaust shop to get that stuff done

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
It is going to an exhaust shop.... Im just not willing to pay to have the header installed when i can do it my self for free.
wouldn't it just be easier to get it all done at once....because you have to get a custom DP, you might as well make it custom to fit your new exhaust, not your stock exhaust. Something tells me that even if you find the parts you need to make it fit your stock exhaust, it will all need to be changed when you put on your new exhaust, unless you don't feel the need to change the exhaust all the way thru (ie header back) As much as doing this by yourself is fun, you will have a hard time finding the parts to make this custom downpipe I imagine.

why did you expect other people to have an exhaust setup for 5 minutes. most people get a header, drive to the exhaust shop and have the rest done or do it themselves. before you asked the question you clearly knew the answer. You need a large flexjoint and flanges to connect. i doubt you will find it. put on your header and jsut drive to the exhaust shop in a loud ass car. seems silly to get a part you are going to use for a 5 min drive to the shop.
and for the record i never said i owned you...i said you sucked at searching....two totally different things

I would just put it on and drive it to the exhaust shop. I wouldn't have a problem with that at all.... But I live in the middle of nowhere. The little town thats close to me has a parts store. But the closest exhaust shop is over an hour drive and local PD are already dicks when it comes to tuners. I already found the parts to make a temp dp. Its a farm community so the parts store carrys all sorts of weird odds and ends. And okay sorry about the confusion on the owning and sucking at searching.... Yes I knew what I needed to make the tem dp. I was asking if... other then what came with the header and the flex and such... if there was anything else I would need to install the part. By searching I learned that the gasket is crap and I should just buy a new one.... so theres a part I need. But what I learned from asking.... not searching.... from the jbnw guy is that tighting the outter bolts is a pain because of the location. Not one of those topics offered up install info like that. You guys dont like the way I handled this topic... oh well.... it got it noticed didn't it?
