Have you tried Edmund Scientific? They have "loads" of "kooky"-stuff like that just sitting-around their store!

Say... You aren't trying to make the electric-motor driven supercharger a reality, are you? If you are, I wish you good luck! I'd like to do that myself, but "funds" just aren't permitting for me. The best I can do here is pass-off what ideas I have on the subject for you to consider & try: Just be sure to use the best (Most effective/efficient at making boost) wheel-style compressor assembly you can find & a brush-less DC motor, if you can. I've seen brush-less DC motors replace the piston engine in a ducted-fan R/C aircraft & it was able to do a ground-level take-off from a standing-stationary position without a problem.

Again, good luck & let me know how it goes!

actually i what was trying to make is dual superchargers as stupid as that sounds. i saw it done on a civic last year at one of my local shows and it really surprised me by how well it worked

What!? Are you talking about going compound-charging (Like they do with diesel engines, sometimes) with electro-motive drive for each charger?!? Man, if that works (And don't kill the battery & alternator) I'd like to see it & learn more about it!

Uh-oh! Looks-like you said the wrong word here, Brandon (Civic)! I'd say: You better run, sucker! That word (And any references tied to it) is considered sacrilege around here! Still, I wish you good luck with the idea & may you be successful in making it.

Funny thing: It seems like all technologies developed peak right before they're abandoned for something fairly recently developed that's proven itself to be way better. I've got a feeling the switchable electro-motive driven auto-engine intake-air compressor may be one of the abandoned (That is: After a successful model has been produced), in favor of the brush-less direct-wheel-drive electric plug-in hybrid diesel car once such a beast hits the streets. And judging by what all I've found & seen, that may be not that far off. Still... It would be nice to see it successfully done, though.
