I KNOW THAT EVERYONE IN HERE WITH THE 2200 HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS AND IT HAS BEEN POSTED BEFORE, BUT THIS IS A COMPLETE LISTING WITH ARP PART #S. I BOUGHT A SET FROM AN ONLINE STORE AND INSTALLED THEM TO REALIZE THAT THEY ARENT LONG ENOUGH TO ATTACH THE ALTERNATOR BRACKET. SO I CALLED AND GOT A LONGER STUD PART NUMBER FOR THIS PURPOSE!

On a related note: I just got a set of Fel-Pro head/block bolts, and now I wonder if they're worth keeping (Let alone using!).
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
Well I bought them from flatlander racing (import performance parts) and all of the front studs were the same length. Once the studs were installed and the nuts were installed, the top of the stud and the top of the bolt were flush, so I had nothing to mount my alternator bracket to. So I backed the two studs out, and attached the bracket, but when I torqued them down, there wasnt enough threads in the block so they stripped out.
the part number is atp4.510-1lb, and im getting atp5.195-1lub
most people hack that part of the alt bracket off to allow for a larger down pipe to be honest.
I didnt have any problems with the studs and the alt bracket, but i could only get a nut on by a couple threads to hold it down.
even a skinny jam nut wouldnt even fit on mine, so im just buying the two longer bolts when I put it back together
i could get a couple good threads on with a nut.....but then i thought why keep this big ugly turd of a bracket??
so then how is your alternator connected?
with the bracket.....just that "leg" of it is cut off, but it still goes down the front of the motor.
so you only have 4 bolts? one thru the main engine head bracket thru the alternator, two mounting the bracket to the engine block and one thru the alternator into the bracket?
and this work fine?
yup. no problems at all.
plus you can run a larger DP.....at least with where my turbo is...if you look at my sig, the alt bracket is still there, in all its glory, but not bolted at those 2 studs, as that was right before i took it off to cut it.
I had heard of doing this a while ago, but was reminded by agent omega who did it on his car.
Ok maybe I will do that, but the bolts are only $25 so I will have to see, I already hae a 2.5 downpipe and 1.5" open dump wastegate
my turbos in a different location, yours you can run that no problem.
