i just bought a 02 cavalier ohv 2.2 and was wonder about how much power i could get out of it and if a 2.2 ecotec head would fit on to the block
eco head will NOT fit. Completely different designs
if you build the internals and put on a turbo you can get somewhere around 300+hp. Don't do it unless you are attached to the engine for some reason or have really deep pockets. Buy and swap in an eco and you'll start out with more hp then you would get from boltons. Plus your car is probably lighter then the newer 3rd gen cavs, so thats a bonus too. If your manual too your better off.
