Ok after the almost a year and an ass**** full of money, this is what the b.s shop has done to my car so far.
Disassembly SB, Degrease, Install Cam Bearings & Freeze Plugs, Bore & Hone, Check Line Bore, Check Rods & Pistons, Check & Polisdh Crank, 4 cyl Balance, Assembly SB, Power Wash Block, Headwork, clean, lap & check, assemble 4 cyl(True Deck), Deck Block, Bush Rods(Pin End).
ARIAS Custom Pistons w/Rings, Eagle Rods, Rod & Main Bearings, Fel Pro Gaskets & Head Bolts, Oversize Valves, Timing Chain Set W/Tensioner.
This is not including the custom exhaust and nitrous set up that they promised me. Don't know why it has taken so long and I believe they avoid my calls when I call them. It was like pulling teeth in order to get the car back with this much completed. I had an emergency and needed transportation, so they let me get it a few days ago. Im still wanting to do the turbo, just missing one or two pieces and I will be good to go. Just a little update. As we get close I will keep yall updated.
It feels better so far, but I don't want to cut it loose so soon, for fear of doing any damage. Any suggestions as to how much extra power I have gotten and any steps I should take on a build bottom end.
Today we plan for the future, tomorrow we make history.
cant give much advice on how to build your bottom end, but it sounds like your building a good strong motor.. good job, keep up the good work
Thnx pimpin, anybody have an idea on how much I may have improved power wise?

Well, from the information given, I'd have to be out of my mind to benchrace. All you told us performance wise is that you have "over-sized valves". Out of curiosity, how long did they have your car for that?
Built 94-97 head for sale: http://www.j-body.org/classifieds/engine/47069/
all i am seeing preformance wise is oversized valves....did i miss something?
these custom pistions...what is so custom about them...did the bored out your engine...are they a differet design...you kinda gave us little information

So... the short block is the "bottom end." If it's already assembled with extra machine work and custom pistons, and it's in the car, why are you asking about how to build the bottom end?
I'm guessing the pistons are forged lower compression units for upcoming boosties. If so, you've probably gained nothing N/A and you might even have lost some power. Not a bad thing if the plan was to install an exhaust snail in the first place. Just get the rest of the job done.
