That device just adds different resistance levels to the sensor detecting the incoming air temperature.
It is supposed to trick it into thinking the air is colder than it is, and in turn delivers more fuel as a result.
To me, if you add more fuel and the air really is not as cold as it thinks, how the hell is that supposed to help?
Seems to me you would just be running rich, and that is not a performance gain.
I was told that in the long run it will ruin the motor.
