I'm tied for 3rd . I just sent out the head to get it shaved and found out that web cams won't have a cam for me for atleast month. the season will bee allmost over by then.Any body got some connectitions or ideas .

A big bottle neck for power on the ohv motors is the head.....since it's out getting shaved get it ported and then tuned with the hpt and you should be happy with your gains. also look into swaping in the 1.6 stamped rockers out of a sbc since the factory rockers on the 2200 measure out to 1.54 to one......

excellent advice.

you will get good results from this, also with the head off, think about a thinner head gasket to boosy up compression a bit.

I would recomend a re-grind cam over a web cam though. They are NOT billet core cams.

Who has or does the re-grinds I don't have any specs to take to a machine shop. the head got shaved .030 this should take things to 9.6:1. not sure what the hp would be but hoping more than the 115 stock.

and by SOHC i'm referring to the honda and toyota you're going after.. I'm pretty sure neither company makes pushrod 4 bangers

I think the rule is factory-stock appearance in this case.

CRANE, COMP, CROWER, ETC....THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO A REGRIND FOR YOU, AND HELP YOU FIGURE OUT WHAT WOULD BE BEST FOR YOUR APPLICATION.

If you shaved your head that much, you will need custom-length pushrods.

Uh, JUCNBST: I believe you mean the rockers found in the LS-series engines, since in '98 the LN2 went to cast roller-fulcrum style like the LS V-8s have.

^ If he wants to run the stamped rockers or roller rockers you have to swap the rocker studs out........I cant even remember what the crane part number is but I did find it in an old thread by madjack....hell I even have the rocker studs from crane in my garage some place. If I find them this weekend when I'm working on the mustang or cavi I will post the part numbers up.
