Sorry if i posted this in the wrong spot, wasnt sure where it should go but i was wondering if the a/c compressor and system is the same on an 02 2200 and an 04 ecotec. I'm swaping the eco into my 02 cavy and i want my a/c. is the compressor and system the same or at least close enought that i can make it work?
horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.
simple answer
no

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.
but with a HEAVY mount of modification (that might add up to more than a new pump would cost) you might be able to run it. honestly, if you just call around to junkyards or go on car-part.com you can most likley find the motor for around $50

the AC pump actually bolts up to the block on the Eco ( correct me if im wrong) but the eco is designed to have all accesories bolted to block itself without bracket of anykind
the pump istn the same though, i think. I THINK. i know the pump on the 2.4 TC was different. dont see why they'd use the pump from the "lesser" of the 2 engines, i guess maybe they would. i dunno, maybe not. i've just heard before that nothing from the 2 enignes is compatible

Everything should work besides your actual AC compressor. I have the eco AC compressor from my car that I'll sell cheap, if interested PM me.
