sorry forgot to mention, it says it fits the f23 in the 2.2 vauxhaul's...which should technically be the ecotec, with the f23 getrag? will it fit?

I like... Couple this with the B&M short throw kit and you should have some wicked quick shifts...

I take it you guys don't venture far from the j-body world?

Its very common to see things like this for every other car on the planet LOL

To find out if he would be willing to extend the GP to Org members? Id love a shorter throw than I have now! (if in fact its the correct part)

LOL I do all the time, hence the reason why I was on the vauxhaul forums

thought I'd contribute to the org for once in 5 years lol

If I'm on the Vauxhall forums, it means I've found another Chevette & wanna see who's done what in the countries it came to before us!

Go beyond the "bolt-on".

why GP? looks easy enough to machine... somebody just copy it lol

and yes, the part is the same I checked on one of my F23s sitting in the garage.

there's a split pin you have to knock out with a punch, and that part will slip off.

I'm in for sure. I'll even pay the shipping across the pond. This could be the key in my being able to make 1-2 shifts with 500WHP LOL.

If someone has a different trans they wanna try I'll order one up and get it over here so PJ can machine them

I wait until ryne is selling them...

There's no way I'd be selling these unless I could get an account with the manufacturer. If anyone wants me to try I will but I doubt anyone wants me to.

IF they fit the f35, I wouldn't mind one

But I just got rid of my f23 i had sitting around so I can't compare the 2 in persons..Maybe PJ can chime in

So does anyone actually want one of these besides me? I'm gonna see about getting a few ordered for us as well.

I'm interested.

I looked into something like these about 2 years ago. SAME parts as our F23. I just couldn't justify the price w/ the exchange rate.... was over $300 + shipping.

This one came with the shorter arm, and a cable relocation bracket..... along with a tool to remove the cables?

for reference, a pic of the one talked about here in this thread.

I also tried looking into the gear ratio's their F23's had, but didn't get much help (even joined a few of their web forums, and asked questions, no answers).

I'd be up for one..... I'm sure Team GREEN would pic up a few.

i'd need a picture of the F35 peice in order to compare. I really have no idea if the two are related in the shifter assembly

I'd have to do some testing to see how the cables would interact with the relocated movement point, not to mention the golden question: can the part be installed with the trans/engine in the car?

it'd be pretty hard to get a punch and hammer in there to knock out a split pin. I have a few F23s in my garage, I'll see about getting that peice off and what it would take me to machine a modified version.

alum is very easy to machine, and I'll probably make a prototype out of it, but I'm pretty much certain that I'd have to machine the final product out of mild steel at the least, and ideally machine one out of stainless

I'm interested to see how the lack of the counter-weightish thing on that arm would effect shifter feel. I have a feeling shifter effort is definitely going to be harder than stock.

I forget, but I'm "pretty sure" the F35 shift select looks a bit different then the F23....
