l67 swap, 2nd gen or 3rd gen easier?

I've got a 3800 S/C motor from a 2001 grand prix, I've also got the mating 4T65E - HD. I also have a manual flywheel off a 3800 camaro If I choose to go manual trans route..just very undecided at this point.

I've got a 1990 Z24 5 speed, and a 1995 2.2 5 speed, and a 1996 2.2 auto 3 speed.

I would assume that the 3800 with 5 speed would not be too dificult in the 1990 keeping the 5 speed, but axles i'll have to get creative with.

Anyone know where to point me for good info for each?

Wil the 3800 bolt up to the 2.2 5 speed?

as far as wiring I got that covered, I do LS1, LT1 wiring harness modification's all the time and do PCM programming, just this is my first venture into the cavalier swap area... any sugestions?

thanks

Brendan

the 3800 will bolt to both 2.2 trans but the 95 5speed wouldnt hold up to much power your best bet would be to use the 90 z24 trans assuming it is a 3.1 or 2.8 and use the gen 3 body well in my choice i like the body beter the swap is pretty easy the worst problem is the wiring and it sounds like you got that covered

Driver swap is the easiest. just take the driver, and plop him in the car said power plant is coming out of.

the 90's trans would hook up to the 3800... and it "should" be easer to get a harness and a Prom to make the Engine run...

depends how much work ya want to do.
