Idle Problems, P0507, searched please help!!!!

Last night I installed my bored 60mm HO T/B from SMG. And now I have a lot of issues. It idles fine on start up, but after driving it idles around 1500 rpm, and slowly settles to 1100-1200 rpm. When driving around town in low gears it drives around like an automatic, really strong idle in the 1500 rpm range. I have tried both 2.4 IAC and currently have 2.3 IAC in it. I scanned it and came up with P0507 - Idle control system RPM higher then expected. I don't think its a vacume leak b/c all I did was change T/B's and not the manifold, its been on for over a year. Anyone have any ideas? The only thing I can think of is the T/B plate isn't seating right.

On another note today I have more problems. When I got on it all of my gauges died and there was a weird almost blow off vave sound and it skipped a few fires. It happened in 3rd gear around 5000 rpm two or three times on the freeway today. I mention it because this didn't happen last night when I did the same thing but with the 2.4 IAC in.

Please any help? I really don't want to put the stock T/B back on, the new T/B mde 3rd gear so much better.

The IAC is brand new and the TPS I bought about a year ago but just now installed it.

It is a HO throtle body that has been bored out by SMG in a group buy a while ago. So yes it should work.

What do you mean by check the TPS? Only the 2.3 TPS fits and as stated above it was bought brand new a year ago. I guess I could get another one, its just a pain cause you have to pull the T/B to get at it.
I am guessing you replaced the TPS and the problem went away?

Check and see if the throttle plate is shutting all the way. I have seen this on bored TB's before. If it is not shutting all the way it causes a vaccum leak. If ti is the case this can be fixed by a little sanding (usually).

I pulled the throtle body off again today and I think John Higgins was right, but in a different way. I think I found the problem, the throtle plate seems like it was made too small. Besides sanding down the throtle stopper thing and hopping that allows the plate to close farther I don't think I have any choice but to put the stock T/B back on.

Anyone have any ideas?

not sure if its clear but the stock TB doesn't let any light through, and this one clearly has space most the way around. I guess that could be why its idleing just a little strong, right?

I finally got around to getting a better throttle plate made and put it on the car today. It's better and doesn't throw a code but it still idles too heigh and acts weird when you get off the throttle. I have no vacume leaks, and I tried using both the 2.3 and 2.4 IAC valves, the 2.3 seems to be working best. I thought this was supposed to be an easy swap, I have tried everything I can think of and am in desperat need of advice. Anyone have any sugesstions?????!!!!!?????
