got all my stuff put on today and it sounds so bad, at idle its ok but when you give it gas it sounds raspy i have a tusdo header a 22" magnaflow resonator and and magnaflow muffler.
somebody told me some mufflers sound bad till they break in, has anyone else had this problem?
Well seeing as you didnt mention that you have a cat, that will be contributing the bad sound, however it is good u chose a 22" resonator...as for muffler break in...i think it does exist, however the exhaust system i bought was used so I can't really be sure.
yes, depending on the muffler....there is break in.
my magnaflow muffler took about 2 months to mellow out.
my exhaust took a few days to mellow out a bit. it sounded good from the start, but kind of metallic raspy side... i took it for a nice long drive for a couple hours letting it get real warm and then it sounded great after that.
get a cat if you dont have one! They help a ton
