Intake Specs

Does anyone know where to get the blueprints for the AEM cold air Intake for 2005 sunfire?

I know it's just a pipe and i have a filter. I feel bad spending 200 on metal piping,. I'd much rather build my own.

I just want the AEM one because they look the most funtional.

you would be better off not trying to make a knock-off one and have the pipes bent by either yourself, if you have access to a pipe bender, or by someone else.

this way, you don't risk lawsuits for mimicing a copyrighted product. just find a K&N filter, and whatever size piping you would find best, the only thing, make sure that whatever tube you use for right off the throttle body clears the hood, I've seen on a few cars, *cough*back in black*cough* the hood doesn't close properly and there are some fitment issuses as to where the TB is on the ECO's.

LOL, he's fine to copy it as much as he wants, its when he goes to sell them and call it his own design that he faces legal issues.

Lol i wondered about the legal ramifications of cloning it, but after seeing one up close and seeing an install of one, i think its worth the money..

EcoCav IS NOT the seller of that item. that is an ebay auction, and im pretty sure if you email the seller they will tell you if they will ship to Canada or not...

Has anyone heard of this rumour that you have to have ABS to have the AEM cold air intake? I have a 2005 sunfire with no ABS. I should be able to use the intake. .... Shouldn't I?

it's false. I don't see why you would need something that has nothing to do with the intake of the engine.

Ya, that's exactly what I thought.
