I am interested in getting a short shifter. Is there any difference in quality in such a product. I.e. If i spend $20 on ebay, or $100 somewhere else - will there be a noticable difference?

Get the B&M you'll be happier. I have a B&M and a Fidanza. B&M comes with everything including lube, the Fidanza was missing an e-clip retainer for the side to side pivot pin.
You get what you pay for. Some have been happy with the $20 ones.
I've been 100% satisfied with my B&M and the quality level that they strive to achieve is going to be higher than pretty much any other company offering similar product.
Or TWM Performance makes a really nice short throw shifter, i have it and i absoultly love it, its also the same price as the B&M one
