Map sensor location on stock LD9 manifold?????
Sunday, October 05, 2008 1:53 PM
Yesterday I put my stock intake manifold back on my car and I can't figure out / remember where the MAP sensor goes. Should I just Tee off one of the other vacume lines going into the T/B? Its just been forever since I have seen it stock. Is quad4forums down? I tried looking at the HO install guid on there but the page won't load.

Thanks

There is a nipple on the front of the manifold (below the TB). Can't miss it.

Apparently I can miss it when its the end of the day and I am tired. Thanks guys, I went out this morning and found it right away.

On another note. I went to work, auto parts store, to clear the CEL the MAP sensor caued b/c I drove it home wih the MAP just dangling. Just for fun I started the car and monitored it. It was showing 10-15 degrees timing advance on idle and up to 30 degrees advance when I reved it up to 3000 - 4500 RPM. Is that normal? It is very possible the data reader we have is the culprit, just thought I would ask if anyone knows of a problem related to this. Car was at operating temp, just sitting in the parking lot reving it, registry is up to date.
