Will a crankshaft pulley for 95-97 Cavi fit a 93?

Like every other performance accessory, I can only find undersize pulleys for 95-97 Cavaliers and newer. I can't find one that is designated for my 93. But I know a lot of the parts for the 95-97s will fit on the 93. Is a crankshaft pulley one of them?

That's supposed to be underdrive pulley. Brain not communicating with the fingers very well today.

they are a smaller size that is why they underdrive the accesories,so both are right... if it is for the same engine it fits if i remeber correctly

It should work. The 93-95 motors are the exact same.

Yes, but are J-car & S-truck pulleys on the same engine the same?

The S-10's 2.2 is the same as the 2200. The OP was asking about the 2.2, not the 2200. The 2.2 is the same from 92-97.

That's not what I asked. Since the S-trucks got the 2.2 from '94-'97 (With the only visible difference to them from the car apps being the manifolds), I was asking if they also used the same pulley as the ones placed in the J-cars.

I was under the impression that the Vortec 2.2 in the S-10 is about the same as the 2200, which came in 98. The older square body S-10's had a 2.5.

True, the 1st-gen's had the 2.5L "Iron-Duke" 4-cyl... But when the last of the 1st-gen P'ups rolled off the line, that was the end for the duke. GM needed a suitable replacement for it that had greater efficiency, and the LN2 was the answer.

The LN2 had already recieved MPI in '92, and that made it more cost-effective in going with than tooling for an MPI addition to the duke... Although I do find it a lil' odd that even thou the duke recieved DIS in it's W-body apps (Cutlass Ciera, Chevy Celebrity, Buick Century...) begining in the late-'80s, and the LN2 uses the exact same design of system (Trigger-wheel & all!), that GM never applied it to the S-truck dukes. And on the same note...Such details would have made it easy to add MPI to the duke, by adaptation of the LN2's system with top-feeds perhaps, but again cost plus emissions & CAFE mandates helped unseat the duke & push the LN2 into it's place.

And as I think about it, the sloping hood of the 2nd-gen might have made for packaging problems for the duke as well.

Anyways, The Vortec 2200 is the '98-up version of the LN2, and the 2.2L is the '92-'97 version. Same engine (Basically), but updated accordingly. And the only noticeable difference in all the years it was used in J-cars, W-cars & S-trucks from each app was the S-trucks got different intake & exhaust manifolds. So basically... An LN2 is an LN2 is an LN2! Except for the changes made that came along in certain years... And minor mods made in 2000 for Flex-fuel capability, which would make it the L43 (8th VIN character "5", only on units built after Dec, 1999).

So, are the pulleys used on the J-car version the same as on the S-truck version?
