My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

there is no need to rev that high unless you are using one of these:

ur car must be an automatic cuz i hav a 2000 sunfire with the 2.2L. i also hav a cold air intake, header and exhaust and my car will rev to around 5 or 6k if i want. but yeah revving is ghey!

You've got a 2200 and want to rev it in neutral/park unloaded, so you can hear your rice cannon exhaust, I'm assuming.

There's a reason the limiter is there, dumbass. Spinning the engine up without any load will end up leading you to catastrophic engine failure.

wow why are you on here if you hate this forum i used to feel the same way until i learned to stop asking dumb questions and actually searching for stuff then when people do ask stuff that we all know is on this sites search button we get a lil upset because it shows zero effort put in by the persons.i have been on here for over a year and when i started i was a tool also asking stupid questions. but i have learned so much and have made a pretty nice car by humbling myself and listening to the guys.yes hp tuners would solve this problem. but there is no reason for it. (and dont get me wrong some guys on here can be real dcks) but most of us just hate seeing the same question every week. sorry to seem rude but dont say you hate the forum if your obviously still here and learning stuff.

you can raise the rev limiter, but can't eliminate it.

no need to rev higher unless the powerband dictates, and with the OHV.. you won't need or want to rev without serious mods first.

I'll repeat myself since you're too much in a hurry to even look. the ONLY way you're going to do it feasibly is with this tuning software. BUT, if all you'd be using it for is revving at the high school, trying to impress the girls with your uberfast automatic sunfire, seems like it'd be a waste of $600.

Bull@!#$, if you knew anything automotive you'd know raising/removing a rev limiter to rev it unloaded is a F.UCKING RETARDED IDEA.

Yeah, we're real fags because we don't like overrevving an engine and blowing @!#$ apart.

yea, apparently you're one of them.

I've been up to 8000rpm before. Guess that doesn't qualify me as a dumbass since I'm intelligent enough to know how to raise my limiter, does it

go to the newbie forum where you belong, newb.

Its possible to do without HP Tuners. The answer is somewhere in the forums. I feel like making you work for your answer so look for it. To show I'm not sending you on a wild goose chase i'll even post a vid with the car hitting the limiter and revving over in the same vid. My 2000 sunfire GT with the 4 spd auto can go to red line at a stand still if i do it right.

i still agree with most others in that there's no reason to go above the limiter but like you said... its you car to blow up if thats what you want.
