Urgent: Need Gasket
Monday, November 24, 2008 3:46 PM
My 2000 LD9 is nearing completion, and we need one more gasket. It's the one where the timing chain housing connects to the block.

Here's a picture, taken from the head gasket set image from NAPA:

What is this gasket called and where can I buy it? I don't see it anywhere on NAPA's gaskets and seals section or any other section.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

You can get them from auto parts stores, I just never buy them there.

It's $55.71 shipped from GMPartsDirect, and that'll take a while. I need to find someplace local that has it. I'll have to go to a NAPA I guess and see if they have it.

P/N: 12360464

That's the GM part number; itd be nice if I could find a local store part number if there is such a thing, unless I just show up with that number and a description and hope they can find it for me.

Is it the same between 2.3 and 2.4? If so you would be in luck.

if you want to try autozone maybe try this part number: KWK99199.... it does show a pic so i cant confirm it for you but it is called timing cover seal and is $50.99.. but again look at it before you get it. hope that helps

I believe its in the Felpro kits...... maybe the "conversion" kit? I have a few in my garage, I also believe the 2.3 and 2.4 are the same......

the 2.3 gasket matches up to the block. Looks like it will work.

Now do a 2.3 oil pump swap.
