yea i built his eco for him last winter.
we had contemplated a 3400 swap mid summer, now that the motor broke the timing chain and bent all the valves we thought it was time to go another route
ok so questions...... what mounts do i buy to make this work???
can i run it on my stock ECM???
and what does everyone do for a transmission???

yea what do you guys use??? we can figure out how to swap an ecotec into a sunbird convertable, but this 3400 this really has us stumped.
and furthermore lower intake manifold gaskets????? you mean i need to replace those?

If the engine is out, you should change them. The oem ones are known to fail prematurely.

awwwhhh man that looks waaaaaaayyy to hard of a swap, that could take months to do. i think we should just stick to swapping ecotecs into 2nd gens, much easier.
It swaps into a 2nd gen easier than a 3rd gen. And in a 3rd gen it can get swapped in a weekend. Though, I will admit the ECO swap is prolly cooler in the 2nd gen.... everyone does 3400 swaps to 2nd gens.
