yeah jmarks, even after they made it work for the 35mm lifters they had to do a tiny bit more to make the lobes clear but was minor
so what exactly is involved in getting the HO cams to work in the ld9 towers? and did you have the cam sensor pad machined???

bore LD9 lifter bores from 33mm to 35mm
cut end of cam off
drill hole for hex insert and press insert in end of cam
drill oil passage hole in cam so hex is oiled
basically thats the jist of it.

Noone I know of outside of Todd Miller has done the work for the CPS pad. Most people have opted to remove the CPS code from the PCM with HPT. Todd is no longer doing the CPS pad on cams

I cut a stock cam up for mine. But you can get the from the dealer. I was lucky enough to pick up a todd miller cam

, but my cam works just as well, with out the cps however. But hpt fixed any problem i had with the engine light. The car even gets 24 mpg in the city, un-tuned. I cant wait to run it at the track!!
Cool stuff guys! Do you find you need to raise the rev limiter to take advantage of the powerband with these cams (I'm assuming everyone has HPT to deal with the CPS code)? If so, have you done anything about the oiling system?

Good s hit. Possible to use the 2.3 tower with 2.4 tower caps that maintain the stock 2.4 ps pump mounting points?

There is a .....other way to "mod" the tower to work with HO spec cams....... But none of you would like it.

The won't seal because the ends are completely different. The 2.3 intake tower has provisions for a seal, but none for the power steering. N/A madness posted a picture over a year ago with both towers beside each other
