Hey everyone, I'm picking up an RKSport underdrive crank pulley for $20 (craigslist ftw!) for a 97 LN2. I searched around but couldn't find a whole lot of information about the belt size I might need. Does the tensioner have enough to make up for it or should I go with a smaller belt? And if I do, how much smaller will it need to be? If I could keep the same belt that would be cool, but if not no big deal. Thanks guys!

1. Loosen front passenger side lug nuts
2. Place blocks behind rear wheels to prevent car from rolling back. Jack up
passenger side of vehicle and support with jack stand.
3. Remove the front passenger side wheel and wheel well shroud.
4. Loosen crankshaft pulley bolt (bolt is very tight). Loosen the three 13mm bolts.
5. Remove factory belt. This can be done by loosening the tensioner arm.
6. Remove crankshaft pulley bolt, the (3) 13mm bolts and crankshaft pulley.
7. Install the underdrive pulley. Use Loctite #242 or equivalent on the 13mm bolts
and retorque to 85 ft. lbs.
8. Install new belt Gates K050817.
9. Reinstall passenger side wheel well shroud and front wheel.
10. Remove jack stand and lower vehicle.
11. Turn on vehicle and inspect for any pulley wobble and that belt is properly seated
in all pulleys.

Hmm, how did I miss that?
Thank you for the help. Is that a belt I could just go buy at an autoparts store in that size or do I have to get that specific belt?
Also, I'll be in for one of your alternator pulleys once the GP gets rollin
Just tell them you need a K05817 belt.

Well, that wouldn't work as well as the K05
0817 now would it?
I did a little research and found that an 817K5 from Autozone (they don't carry Gates belts) is a 5 rib that is about 2 inches smaller so I'm gonna give that a shot.
Sorry to bring back an old thread, but since I couldn't find the information I figure I would post it up to help anyone else searching since I installed this today...
The Duralast 817K5 belt will work for the RKSport Underdrive Pulley for 95-97 2.2 LN2s if you don't feel like paying $50 for the Gates belt supplied on the RK website.
That is all
685K6 with one rib shaved off if you plan on installing it without a/c.

Good to know ^^^ seeing as how I'm debating ditching mine.
