Every once in a while i hear that a larger TB (or boared TB) will add HP.
Is there any truth to this? To me, if the intake mani isnt "boared" as well, it isnt gonna allow any healthier air flow..
THoughts?
with your mods, you may actually lose horse-power, now add cams, header, and it may help, you cant just expect more air-flow will help, without anything to help them out, sure in some aspects a bigger T.B. can help but depends what you did to the car, if you put it on a stock car you may lose, but not every car is the same, so get some cams in there to help the flow, and get rid of the stock header and put a much less restrictive header on there, you should gain more out of the header then you will with a bigger T.B. (at the moment)

in theory its supposed to help.

I'm tired of wasting my time... now I'm breakin' free.
lol. 80mm.
stock bore is like what, 52?
I was going to ask the same question with my mods. Would it be worth it to go 56-57mm?
Thanks
I have a 57mm and I didnt notice too much of a difference. I got a stock ecotec throttle blade for almost nothing from the junkyard and payed my machine shop $30 to bore it. For me it was worth the cost even though I felt nothing. I think the intake manifold on the 2.4 is bigger than the throttle body. it is a good supporting mod for other uprgades.
