Problem with LZM lower engine mount bushing
Sunday, September 06, 2009 9:20 PM
Hi, I replaced placed my belt and the tensioner yesterday, which was a pain w/o proper tools, anyways as I was putting it back together I noticed that my lower engine mount was missing like half of its bushing, there's no sign of it being shredded or anything like that. When I recieved it 3 months ago the bushing flushed to alu. part.
I took some pics to show what I'm talking about, sorry for the blurriness and size....

temp fix....(since I can't find my stock mount). Filled it up with old serp. belt.

what would have caused this? if it goes on nothing will be keeping the alu. part from wobbling.

shoulda just got a prothane if you wanted a bushing style mount.

lzm's mounts are pretty much good enough for scrap metal if you dont get the solid ones.

From the looks of it, I think I may be able to replicate that design using this mount, I just have to grind off portion of the alu. part and find a proper fitting bushing from like shock or bushing for control arm.

something like this

I did a bit of searching...couldn't find any of its defect, maybe it was for a dif mount.
