To point out off the bat, the header has seen about 40,000 miles or less. I had the bottom piece of the header just where it bolts on to the exhaust replaced by RKSPORT. I managed to get a hole in it while it was leaning against the chasis. No other problems at all with them. The condition is very good.

My question here is: Is is still necessary for me to replace the header gasket at this time? It should improve over all performance anyway right?

Car is tuned with HPT and the 2nd 02 sensor has been diactivated. No codes now. Of course I used to get codes when I installed the header and years after still. Copper head gaskets are easy to come by on e-bay. Just not sure if I need it. I know what a blown head gasket sounds like, and assume my header would make similar loud sounds. None of that right now.
