Well, I see posts like this ALL THE TIME. I am hoping to get my hands on a 2200 SFI 5 speed and am looking into swapping in an LD9, and figured since it is posted so much, why not make a write up about it?? I was thinking use this thread to gather knowlegde of what I will need to do, then make the write up? Credit will be given in the write up to all of those people who add an input to this thread.

I know the basics of whats needed....

-Engine
-Trans.
-Mounts
-Wiring harness
-ECM

Just was questioning if 5 speed to 5 speed was the same and engine mounts.

Also the issue of axles

The guages wtill working

And the last issue left to clear up I think would be fuel pump?

I know its asked alot...so just figured hopefully this could end up being the one last post on the topic and get it all thrown into one big write up, hopefully you guys like the idea!

Doesn't matter if you make a sticky...you wont stop the EXACT same questions from being asked in new posts again and again. Just thought I'd go ahead and clear that up right now.

One small contribution would be transmission bell-housing would need to be changed....from the 2.2 to the 2.4

the lower engine mounts are the same. the uppers are not.
