hey guys im new to here and was wanting to see if anyone can give me some advice on what mods i should do
first off can i put a stock turbo used from another turbo car on my cavalier my car has around 135000 ish miles
i would like to run low boost like 6 -8 psi cause my goal is to get to around 200 hp and id be good for a while
then ill buy another 2.2 and rebuild it with the best parts a lil at a time but i dont have alot to spend all at once
so ill build it piece by piece so if anyone out there can offer any info on what i can do i would be gratful
but please dont reply by saying slap on a turbo kit and go i more interested with what to do to the block and heads
and what to put inside i already know what a turbo kit will do but dont know much about building this engine thanks

pick two for what? what does that have to do with where should i start?
because you will never have a cheap turbo j-body,
the 2.2 engine cost a lot to build, because of the lack of aftermarket support. a turbo kit will get you to 200hp, most of the things you will do to get n/a power will work against yuor turbo in the end. yes you can put a turbo from another car on but you will need to build a kit around it
hey bob thanks for the reply but im not looking for cheap i said i dont have alot to spend right
now meaning i can not afford a full turbo kit today so i know i will need one but what parts do i have to
switch to handle a turbo at 6-8 psi so i can be ready to run a used stock turbo on mine and then buy a
spare engine to build for a huge turbo but knowbodys telling me what parts in need if anything in the engine
for the stock turbo setup and 2nd what internal parts will i need for the big turbo i know this will be my money
pit i just hope it will give me a lil bit a thrill driving after its turboed thanks
