this is true ..

I did a Intake cam swap last week and did not use the tool you are talking about ...
The cams have a hex on them that you can put a 10 inch cressent wrench on to hold the cam in place ..

Again this tool is NOT needed to install or time the cams


But waist your money if you want to .or take that money and use it for a part for the car not the tool.. Its your choice...

i didnt need any special tools when i installed cams in my Eco

You dont need a tool like everyone keeps saying but with that special tool you dont have to pull the bottom cover or worry about timing motor.
