FIRST OFF im asking questions to gain knowledge, not to be told that i shouldnt attempt the swap. I just want information.
Alright i am looking for a project and i would like to build a 2.3 engine. I just want to know some basic info like what all do i need to grab from the donor car? I have heard that its pretty much a plug and play from my 2.4 ld9 to a 2.3. Also how much time should i plan for this to take? I know that a 3100 to a 3400 swap can be done in like a weekend and i was wondering if this swap was similar in time consumption.

if youve never swaped an engine before you might wanna set aside a week..its a weekend thing if you know what your doing and know you have the tools for the job.
going from a 2.4 to a 2.3 is probably one of the "easier" swaps.
Is it literally just a plug and play? im obviously going to have it tuned and stuff like that. yes this is my first swap, and thats why i picked this swap. i just wanted to know what all i have to do.
plug n play for the most part...SOME things are gonna be different...also i HOPE you got an HO 2.3 or your really not getting anywhere.
the 2.3 is not going to have the cam sensor that your 2.4 has, so thats an engine light you need to be aware of. also the 2.3 doesnt use the same powersteering as the 2.4, so your going to have to adapt that..things like that are gonna be different. The year of the car is gonna matter too.

your right for some reason i thought he was auto
the 95 2.3 uses the same PS as the 2.4... you can also modify the HO cam to accept the 2.4 power steering, and you can get the cps pad added to continue to use the cam posisiton sensor. In this case you'd need to modify the 2.4 intake cam housing to work and use this.
i agree with the above though... go HO or W41, and stay away from the LO 2.3 and the 95 2.3
