So should i pick up the Pacesetter Armor coated header for the 2.0 Cobalt SS / SC or should i just grab the one made for the Cavy??
thoughts / opinions...who has done the Cobalt header on here? ( i would just have to have my muffler shop fab me up a down pipe for that correct?)
thanks in advance for any advice...

Go for the cobalt ss header. I modded one to fit my 2.4 in my Z. From what I've read it fits in our cars with the ecotec exactly the same as the ones made for our cars. Someone posted saying they had the regular header and switched to the cobalt ss header and they didn't even need a new downpipe the fittament was so close. Of course as you mentioned, yes you will need them to weld a new downpipe from stock. But then you are good to go.

great stuff...thanks Zepp!

No propblem! Glad to help.

The 4-2-1 style promotes more midrange torque than the 4-1 which promotes higher end power. As far as I kno there are no 4-2-1 headers with 1 3/4" primaries tho.

wait you used a cobalt header on your ld9?

Yes, I modded it to work with my 086 head. The 1 3/4" primaries were a must. Now I'm going to convert it to a long tube 4-2-1 header with a new flange.
