Anyone have proof that revco does not use a bigger butterfly? they advertise it as 60mm at the butterfly, 69 at the inless and 62 at the manifold.

also im told that the 2002 eco TB is smaller than the 2003+ does anyone know the actual sizes?

OK, I recived my Revco TB. It is indeed a 60mm so its 2mm over stock.

Also compared the 2002 TB (thought to be smaller) to the 2003 TB and both were the same...58mm. However the early ecotecs in 2002 (had a yellow oil cap) MAY have a smaller TB, i dont have one to compare.

Hey Adam... for the adjustable cam gears could you just do like the honda kids and cut the valve cover so you can adjust it?
(might seem like a stupid question but I'm in Afghanistan right now and cant just walk into my garage and check this)

anybody know anything about adding MSD to an Ecotec? If I'm not mistaken, they say in their 06 catalog that they have a Cam Sync Drive that runs off the power steering. I'm a newbie to the Ecotec, so what's the deal? Does adding the CamSync require removing the power steering? And Rhys Millen's new Solstice drift car has dual DIS-4+'s with individual coils, I know when it comes to this, the sky's the limit, but anyone else done any ignition upgrades to their Ecotec's?

Sorry to disappoint but it looks like all those cams are for the 2.0/2.4 which means the most if not all the J-body crowd can't use them. the reason is due to no "key" for the power steering pump.the listed engines have electric steering assist if I remember correctly.

its actually called a Cam Sync Generator... and no you dont have to do anything with your power steering pump... when you install MSD on your ECO, there are 2 ways... you can use the stock coil pack, or you can use the could use GM 2 tower coils (come on the 2200) and place them elsewere in the engine bay and use spark plug wires instead of boots... anyways... Cam Sync... the reason they say you NEED it is bc your msd will thro a Check engine light saying something along the lines of your Camshaft position sensor is going bad or sumthin... But ECOs dont have those sensors... it uses the Crankshaft position sensor instead... (altho most othe cars do use both) the CEL does cause any change to driveability or performance to the engine, just turns the light on... so the Camy Sync Generator is MSD's remedy for that... it basically tells the ECM what it wants to hear, thus keeping your CEL off...

i installed the MSD DIS2 control box on my ECO using my stock coil pack... i dont have the Cam Sync yet but it runs perfectly fine... you do get more low end performance but thats about it... i would suggest it more if you have something other then N/A... aka turboed or supercharged and possibly N2O... im not too familiar with nitrous yet... i see N2O as beein a hooker with an STD... you wanna hit it but your afraid of the consequences... lol...

hey adam, do you know the price and part number for the adaptor that goes on the m62 SC so you can put a cable throttle body on it instead of an electonic 1 like the Cobalt SS/ Ion Redline use?
