also If I remember correct the was 51 cars last yr ,,and there was only like ten rooms rented at the host hotel ..
and this was after Carol set it up with the hotel mgr to holed 20 rooms for us ..



If anybody dont plan on staying at the host hotel then dont say that your all for it , and then dont stay there..

Tampa stayed there Robert. Remember, I had to run home the next morning for that pretty headliner and the other people were dropping parachute guys from the 3rd floor?

However, IIRC, most only stayed Friday night.

this is true some from tampa did stay there .. but like I said there was only like ten rooms rented there when we had on hold 20 rooms for people that said thay would stay there ..

and like i said there was about 50 cars so where did the 40 other people stay.. I understand that not everybody stayed overnight..but come on ten rooms out of 50 cars ..

One person didnt stay in each room. I know Tampa took 3 rooms for 9 or so people.


Lets not debate the past, though. We're here to get pumped about the 8th year of this!!

well i REALLY WANT to go to this!!!! as long as i know enough time in advance i should be able to go

do we know how much all this will cost approx??

once a price and date are posted id be glad to go considering im going to be transferring to jax here soon but i will only be there for a limited amount of time so im hoping it happens while im there. if its after i leave jax i will be out west so yeah....

Well I probably won't be staying at the hotel because I live like 45 minutes from the meet, but I will defintely be there.

Last yr (Masters Inn ) the Host hotel that Carol set up was like 4 blocks away from RaceRock had a nice pool and the rooms was nice ... And the best part was it was 44.90 a night plus tax .

before anyone says anything we tried here (Orlando Crew) to see if we could have another local to host the meet but no go. All the places wanted crazy money and we had to rent a off-duty office just to have the Meet. If we went ahead and did that the entry cost for the show would have be 25.00 or higher and thats just not going to work!! We also are getting the other side of the Race Rock the bigger parking lot. We have the whole side and around back if needed. Oh and I asked about the place next door with the flying and they said they're really not flying that much anymore.

We will now work on a host hotal and flyer, Also if you think some companies would be good to sponsor the Meet have them contact me I have a write up for them.
